Maddie Gunsauls brings passion, personal experience, and a profound commitment to her role at the Pathway Program in Tempe, Arizona. With her certification as an addictions counselor, Maddie has dedicated her career to aiding those battling substance abuse, drawing from her own transformative journey.
Maddie’s path to counseling began in her teenage years, where she faced her own battles with addiction and alcoholism from ages 14 to 18. Through the unwavering support of her family and multiple stints in treatment centers, she discovered the concept of enthusiastic sobriety. This pivotal moment opened her eyes to a life filled with hope and purpose, one that surpassed the fleeting highs of substance use.
Her personal experiences fuel her professional life, providing her with unique insights into the challenges and victories of recovery. Since starting her career in 2018, Maddie has been instrumental in guiding individuals towards their own paths of recovery, employing empathy, understanding, and evidence-based counseling techniques.
Outside the counseling office, Maddie enjoys working out, golfing, and skiing. Above all, she values her time with loved ones, cherishing moments that reinforce the joys of a sober life.
