Santa Cruz, CA Facility Director
Rocklin, CA Young Adult IOP Staff
Kyle Nowak is a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC II) based in Rocklin, California. He became involved in enthusiastic sobriety in 2014, at the age of 18. Kyle’s struggles with substance use began at 14. Despite being active in sports and maintaining good grades, he was using drugs daily by his senior year. His decision to get sober came when he found a community of young people who were not only sober but also genuinely happy.
After completing one year of sobriety, Kyle returned to college to pursue mechanical engineering. However, after a year, he realized his true calling was in helping young people overcome addiction, so he shifted his focus to counseling.
Kyle began his counseling career with The Pathway Program in 2017, where he gained experience through various roles, starting as a peer support counselor in Tempe, Arizona. In 2022, he moved to Rocklin, California to lead the adult intensive outpatient program. Over the years, he has honed his skills and found a deep passion for helping young people live happy, sober lives.
In 2025, Kyle will become the Facility Director for The Pathway Program’s newest location in Aptos, California, near Santa Cruz, where he will continue his mission of supporting individuals on their journey to sobriety.
