Young Adult IOP Personnel

Anna Prokop is a dedicated and compassionate substance abuse counselor at The Pathway Program. Anna began her journey in addiction counseling after witnessing the transformative power of recovery in her own life. After struggling with substance abuse form age 12 to 17, she entered treatment in 2017.

Upon entering treatment, Anna recalls that she initially had no intention of staying sober. However, when she attended 12 step meetings and an intensive outpatient program, she found peer support and tools that changed her life. Her passion to help others experience that transformation encouraged her to go into the field of substance abuse counseling.

With over five years of experience in the field, she was trained at The Meehan Institute in 2020. Since then, Anna has worked with numerous substance abuse programs for youth and young adults, including Step Two Recovery Center in Arizona and Georgia, and an alternative peer support group for young people in Arizona.

“As I reflect on my journey as a substance abuse counselor, I am filled with a profound sense of gratitude. The path I’ve walked has been both challenging and rewarding, teaching me lessons about resilience, empathy, and the incredible strength of the human spirit. In the years I’ve spent helping others, I’ve witnessed firsthand the transformative power of recovery, and I am constantly in awe of the courage it takes for individuals to reclaim their lives from addiction.”
