About This Meeting

Our Tempe young adult and teen 12-step groups are designed to meet young people where they are at. Many of our participants are seeking recovering peers and express difficulty finding youth in traditionally adult 12-step programs.

Our support groups allow for development of a positive peer support system, along with the benefit of always having professional staff present to support and guide recovery. Our model helps youth learn to have fun in recovery and build a positive sober lifestyle, we call this enthusiastic sobriety.

Our peer support groups follow the Alternative Peer Group model of recovery and are available to current or successfully discharged clients.

Meeting Topics Include

  • Utilizing 12 step principles in daily life
  • Navigating early sobriety
  • Dealing with negative peer relationships and peer pressure
  • Friendships and connections in recovery
  • Having fun without drugs
  • Family relationships
  • Honesty / personal responsibility
  • Higher power
  • Helping / supporting others
